“It was quite an experience watching Urban Fabric’s team of craftsmen transform our cramped, outdated house into a spacious, modern home. Also on time, and on budget. This is not our first remodeling project, but it is easily our favorite. We can’t stop smiling.”

From outdated to updated - recent examples.

We help Denver families like you elevate the form and function of your home, transforming it into an urban retreat that inspires and energizes you.

For more than 25 years, we have been remodeling and restoring homes in the heart of Denver’s most essential neighborhoods, helping to enhance the residential districts that define our city.  We bring extensive training in preservation and restoration, as well as a deep understanding of how to integrate modern architectural aesthetics into residential structures built for different times and needs.

Here are some examples of our recent restorations. Like how we transformed a cramped one-story ranch into a modern, two-story farmhouse. Or, how we redesigned a mid-century modern kitchen to accommodate a modern family. Or how we transformed a narrow kitchen into a spacious dining and entertaining area.

From 1950’s ranch to modern farmhouse.

Our clients John and Lucy asked us to renovate their cramped, one-bedroom 20th century ranch to make it function better for their 21st century lifestyle. We worked closely with Elevate Architecture  and Historic Denver on a plan to take the existing structure down to the foundation, then we popped the top and transformed their home into a 2-story farmhouse with clean lines, spacious living areas and a modern kitchen.

A new kitchen for this midcentury modern.

Wendy and Mike hired us to transform their kitchen from mid-century modern to thoroughly modern.  We laid a new terrazzo floor, installed book-matched walnut cabinetry, and enclosed an existing patio using contemporary store front glass. This created extra room to add a new breakfast nook.

Expanding their kitchen and options.

Brenda and Matt were excited when they purchased their Congress Park home in 2017. But their property contained a kitchen that was too narrow to eat in, and so disconnected from the rest of the house, it disrupted the flow of the overall floor plan. By opening up the space between the kitchen and dining room, we were able to create one seamless cooking and dining area, giving the couple a more functional and inviting space for enjoying meals and entertaining friends.
